PROJECT DETAILS
The WICONA aluminium windows of Denkendorf City Hall, which despite being 45 years old were still in good working order, have now been replaced by new energy-saving models. They are also based on profiles (WICLINE system) by the Ulm-based aluminium systems company. The EAA (European Aluminium Association) accompanied the project for a study on CO2 consumption of renovation buildings.
The Swabian municipality of Denkendorf describes itself as lively and varied, over 850 years old yet still very young at heart. Restored and modernised building structures contribute to the harmonious appearance of the town, whereby the focus is on energy efficiency – especially when it comes to municipal properties. The City Hall with its energy-efficient renovation illustrates how replacing the aluminium windows, together with other measures, has a positive impact on energy consumption and therefore on expenses.
