PROJECT DETAILS
CIS Nordhavn is a school building for Copenhagen International School, which is located on a prominent site in Copenhagen's new Nordhavn district. The school is designed to integrate with the public sphere in the urban environment and provide age-adapted state-of-the-art learning environments as well as shared and extrovert activity spaces which also are for local community events.
The unique façade covered in 12.000 solar panels which supplies more than half of the school's annual electricity consumption. The solar cells cover a total area of 6,048 square meters making it one of the largest building-integrated solar power plants in Denmark.
WICONA has delivered 320 windows WICLINE 95 for the project. The WICLINE 95 window system meets the highest energy efficiency standards with a frame depth of only 95 mm and a slim sightline of only 125 mm. The Thermo Frame insulation zone for WICLINE 95 is located inside the rebate area of the window and can be fabricated and installed quickly and easily through an intelligent clamping system. This feature allows adjustment of the Uf-value as required for the building.
